Mission Statement of Saint Robert Bellarmarine Catholic Church
We are a Communion of Roman Catholic Christians under the guidance of the Holy Spirit in communion with the Bishop of Rome, successor of St. Peter, and in communion with the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend. We acknowledge each of us are called to make Christ's presence a living reality in our lives and in the lives of others.
We pledge ourselves:
- to build a community where all are welcomed, loved, needed and appreciated;
- to celebrate 'the gift of life' together in Word and Sacrament;
- to recognize the individuality of each person;
- to enhance the dignity of every person by providing an environment for growth in every stage of life;
- to recognize and affirm the gifts and talents of one another while promoting the ideal of shared ministry;
- to recognize that the leadership of the parish is the responsibility of the entire community;
- to promote justice, peace and equality by continually relating the Gospel message to social concerns.
We make this pledge in confidence that the Lord will assist us and bless us as we strive to realize this vision.
