The pages that follow will give you an idea of how we are trying to accomplish that goal in our community.

The Plan of Salvation
The first thing that we must understand is that all of us, no matter who we are or pretend to be, have sinned. Romans 3:23 states this fact. " For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Sin is either doing something that you know you shouldnt, or not doing something that you know you should.
What happens to those who sin? Again, the book of Romans in the 6th chapter, verse 23 tells us that all who have sinned deserve death. But God wants all of us to be with him in Heaven after this life is over. Even though God considered us sinners, He sent his Son, Jesus, to the earth as his representative. ( Romans 5:8). John chapter 1 tells us that Jesus wasnt just a man, but a man that was also God, you see, Jesus was the embodiment of Gods thoughts, emotions, and attitudes. Jesus came to tell us and demonstrate Gods never ending love. After traveling throughout modern day Israel and Jordan, Jesus willingly allowed Himself to be crucified, the cruelest form of execution imaginable. Jesuss death provides the payment to God for our sins. When we accept what Jesus did for us, God pardons or sins so that we can look forward to living forever with Him in Heaven. You cant earn your way to Heaven, you cant buy it, you cant bargain for it. The only thing that you can do is to accept what Jesus did as a free gift...How then, can a person receive this gift?

1. Believe that the Bible is TRUTH. The Bible wasnt men writing about God, but God writing about men. The Bible is our guide, our instruction manual. The best way to learn about Jesus and God and all that they have done for us is to read the Bible. The Bible is actually a collection of 66 different books that span several thousand years. To learn specifically about Jesus, there are 4 books ( called Gospels ) that tell about His life here on earth. They are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. If you want to learn about how we are to relate to each other and God, the books of Philippians, James, and 1 Peter are great ones to dig into.
2. Repent . This means to turn from bad to good, and also to have an attitude of sorrow about the sins in your life. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, God no longer views us as we are a sinner but what we will be when we arrive in Heaven...perfect, without sin, because Jesus paid the price of our sins. We are a new person, we have a fresh start, our life is now a "do-over". We must now live for God rather than for ourselves. We must follow His laws rather than societys. Living for God is something that we want to do in appreciation of what Jesus has done for us.
3. Confess . Be willing to tell others about Jesus, what he has done, and what he can do for them.
4. Baptize . If we are to follow Jesus, we must follow his example...check out these scriptures: Mark 16:15&16; John 3:5; Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16; Romans 6:1-6; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21; Titus 3:5.
Different churches and denominations baptize in different ways, each one insisting that their way is the right way...dont let this confuse you...the real issue is that you are doing what God asks...I really believe that it is your willingness to follow Jesus example, not how you do it that is what is important.
You cant buy , bargain, or trade your way into Heaven.
God provided Jesus for us as the gate to get into Heaven
5. Holy Living . You are now a child of Gods, live that way. Dont follow the rules of man, follow the rules of God. Use Jesus as your guide and example. Know that there will be times in which you will mess up ask God to forgive you...He has already forgiven you for it. Always remember, that there is nothing in your past that God hasnt forgiven you for. Accept His forgiveness, and live your life with what He did in mind.

When you bake cookies, if you leave any of the ingredients out, the end result wont be right
The same holds true with your walk with God.
When we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we are also accepting
His commands and precepts for our lives, listen to what He says and act upon it...
...dont leave out any of the parts, or you wont be a whole Christian

The Chapel is very interested in helping both with the spiritual and physical needs of the people of our community:
Life Line and Teens In Touch
We have several different groups who work with the children and youth of our area. The kids are ministered to after school on a weekly and biweekly basis; they are fed a hot meal, encouraged and taught spiritually, and we spend time with them with their homework.
SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY
We have built several Habitat for Humanity homes in the last 5 years.
